Acupuncture aids these interventions by increasing blood flow to the ovaries during the stimulation phase of IVF and improves the effectiveness of the drugs given. It relaxes the uterus and addresses uterine spasm after embryo transfer.

It serves to reduce stress, anxiety and can offset some of the more unwanted side effects of the fertility drugs.
